Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026
The short version
- RUKU is a tool to help you pray on time. Prayer times are calculations, so check them against your local mosque when it matters.
- RUKU Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription billed by Apple. Both plans start with a 7-day free trial for eligible users.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the RUKU app and this website, provided by INFOXERA FZE ("we", "us"). By downloading or using RUKU, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use RUKU.
1. What RUKU does
RUKU helps you keep your Salah on time. It calculates prayer times, sends reminders, pauses the apps you choose at prayer times using Apple's Screen Time, and helps you track your prayers and streaks. Features may change as we improve the app.
2. Prayer times and religious content
Prayer times are calculated on your iPhone from your location or chosen city using recognised calculation methods. They can differ from your local mosque or authority, and you can adjust them in the app. RUKU is a helpful tool, not a religious authority, and doesn't give religious rulings. Please verify times and seek guidance from qualified scholars where it matters. Qur'an verses and hadith in RUKU are quoted from published sources.
3. Who can use RUKU
You must be at least 13 years old to use RUKU. If you're under the age of legal majority where you live, use RUKU with the permission of a parent or guardian. You don't need an account.
4. Subscriptions
- Some features require RUKU Premium, an auto-renewing subscription available monthly or yearly. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when your free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or from "Manage subscription" in RUKU's Settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Users who installed RUKU before version 2.0 and didn't subscribe may keep a limited free plan.
- If we change prices, Apple will notify you as required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
5. Free trials
- Eligible new subscribers get a 7-day free trial on the monthly and yearly plans. Apple decides eligibility, and generally allows one free trial per Apple Account.
- Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts into a paid subscription and you'll be charged.
- RUKU sends a reminder the day before your trial ends, if notifications are on.
- If you subscribe during a trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
6. Refunds
All payments are processed by Apple, and refunds follow Apple's policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds directly.
7. Apple's licence terms
RUKU is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these Terms. If they conflict, these Terms apply to the extent the law allows. Apple is not responsible for RUKU or its support.
8. Using RUKU fairly
Please don't misuse RUKU. That includes using it unlawfully, trying to break, copy, modify or reverse-engineer it, or interfering with its services.
9. Apple features and your device
RUKU relies on Apple features such as Screen Time, notifications, location and iCloud. They depend on your permissions, your device and Apple's software. If you turn them off, or Apple changes how they work, some RUKU features may not work as expected. Make sure your settings let RUKU work the way you want.
10. Ownership
RUKU, its design, text, graphics, logo and software belong to INFOXERA FZE and are protected by intellectual property laws. Qur'an verses and hadith are quoted from their published sources.
11. Disclaimer
RUKU is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and reliable, but we can't promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or that prayer times will exactly match your local authority.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, INFOXERA FZE is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, RUKU. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for RUKU in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be excluded.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using RUKU at any time by deleting it (remember to cancel your subscription separately in iPhone Settings). We may suspend or end access if you seriously break these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as RUKU changes. We'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll let you know in the app. If you keep using RUKU after an update, you accept the new Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. This doesn't affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
